Pics from 2010
Now that 2011 is here and our new year of shows is about to unfurl like the roads that we travel, Spoiled Pet Cafe would like to share some of the images we have gathered from 2010. While there are some images of human companions in some of the photos, the real stars of our business are the furry (and sometimes scaley or feathered) animal companions that enrich our lives in numerous ways every day. I hope you enjoy this slideshow and accept our sincere thanks for your patronage this past year and future patronage in 2011 and beyond. And as a highlight, the little girl in pink to the right was one of our final patrons this past year; and yes, most of our patrons do cause quite a few ohhhs! and ahhhs! and other such gushing moments.

With the long 4th of July weekend a fading memory, Spoiled Pet Cafe is happily anticipating this week’s upcoming farmers’ markets in Knoxville’s Market Square and New Harvest Park. As we store our memories of the Fourth of July weekend in that special place, our lives move back to that place of normalcy where there is a sense of comfort and satisfaction. Tomorrow the workweek begins for many of us. This means that the baking of fresh dog treats and cat treats will begin in earnest. We look forward to seeing everyone at this week’s farmers’ markets and perhaps exchanging stories from the 4th.
Be sure to look for the upcoming slideshow from the recent Louisville Expo! You Just Might Be In It!

What better way to beat the heat than with fresh, crisp, garden vegetables! From crunchy cucumbers to juicy tomatoes, Knoxville’s Market Square Farmers’ Market is the place to get your locally grown produce. Of course the farmers’ market also features local crafts that range from jewelry to artwork, and locally prepared foods that range from salsa to sticky buns! And for our furry, four legged friends you can always get locally made gourmet cat treats and gourmet dog treats from Spoiled Pet Cafe. Don’t be fooled by the slick advertising of the big chain stores, or the eye catching but wasteful packaging of the commercial treat producers, our treats are:
- Properly Licensed
- Properly Labeled
- Preservative Free – this is why our treats must be refrigerated or frozen
- Additive Free – no dyes, easy to read, familiar ingredients
- Locally Made – this helps to support both the local economy and the environment
- Never Frozen by us – though you, the consumer, may choose to freeze the treats to prolong their lifespan, we do not!

Wednesday is the perfect day to take an afternoon break from the stresses of the work week. Whether this means a stroll in a local park or having a relaxing lunch with family, friends, or co-workers, take time to take a breath. If you live or work in downtown Knoxville then the Market Square Farmers’ Market might be just the ticket. You can take a leisurely stroll among the many vendors and maybe pick up a loaf of fresh bread and locally grown produce for dinner or sample some of the wonderful gourmet chicken salads or other fresh fare that is available. If you have the need to satisfy that sweet tooth there are some wonderful cookies, danishes, and scones that are always a huge hit. And once you satisfy your rumbling tummy, don’t forget to pick up some delicious, all natural gourmet cat and dog treats from Spoiled Pet Cafe.
On a side note, Spoiled Pet Cafe will not be set up in Market Square on Saturday, June 26th because we will be at the Nashville Expo with our complete line of pet accessories (including a wide selection of pet strollers)! We hope to see you in Nashville and if you can’t make it, we will see you on Wednesday, June 30th at the Market Square Farmers’ Market.
So take a break and take a stroll through Market Square!

A Look Behind The Curtain of Spoiled Pet Cafe at Knoxville's Market Square Farmers' Market 06-09-2010
We love rain when it is…watering the garden…providing a cooling respite on a hot day…reminding us of the varied and fanciful ways of mother nature. But, we don’t really like the rain when we are preparing for a day at Knoxville’s Market Square Farmers’ Market. On Wednesday, the skies were heavy with clouds full of raindrops wanting to do what they do…fall on our heads. Being a market day, I couldn’t really take the time to dance and play in the rain as one is sometimes prone to do. Instead, Spoiled Pet Cafe found itself putting up the walls to our tent to minimize the impact of the rain on the all natural, gourmet dog and cat treats. The rain didn’t last long. Once it had cleared away we were able to open our tent walls to allow the business people, families, and assorted other adventurous types to wander in and pick up those treats and chews that many of our furry, four legged cousins have come to love. Spoiled Pet Cafe would like to say thank you to all of you who ventured out to visit us this past Wednesday 06-09-2010. We hope you enjoy these two pictures from the soggy Wednesday Market.
