This past Saturday, May 1st 2010,  was a beautiful day in Knoxville. The weather got into the low 80′s but the cool breezes made it feel quite nice. As usual, Danny Thornton of Spoiled Pet Cafe ventured out to photograph some of the colorful sights from the Market Square Farmers’ Market. Though the weather reports were grim and threatened to make the opening day of Knoxville’s Market Square Farmers’ Market a dud, this simply was not what happened. Yes storm and severe weather were reportedly happening in the area and adjacent counties, the Market Square Farmers’ Market was blissfully spared. With temps in the mid 70s and cool breezes right up until the first raindrops began to fall just before the closing (cow)bell, the day could not have been more ideal. And with this type of beautiful weather, the crowds were large and diverse. Though I appreciate the best efforts of the weather people, I am happy that their predictions were incorrect. I want to thank all of the beautiful, happy, and well behaved canines who brought their humans to visit us. From morning’s gorgeous sunrise until the raindrops began to fall, below are some of the images from the opening day festivities, look closely you (and maybe your human) could be there!

Yesterday was a beautiful day for a Farmers’ Market! Happily, Spoiled Pet Cafe enjoyed the wonderful weather as we vended our all natural, gourmet pet treats at New Harvest Park. I wanted to share a couple of photos of market visitors from that event.

Bring your humans to visit Spoiled Pet Cafe at the New Harvest Park Farmers’ Market every Thursday this summer from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, and at Market Square Farmers’ Market every Wednesday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and every Saturday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm this summer.

A Visitor To Spoiled Pet Cafe At The Knoxville Expo

As always, Spoiled Pet Cafe had a wonderful time at the Knoxville Expo this past weekend (April 16, 17, & 18th).  With over 400 booths, in the 100,000 square foot building, this is always an excellent event that affords diverse professionals from Realtors® to exterminators the opportunity to promote their services at informational booths while retailers can highlight and sell products. We enjoy the opportunity to not only sell our Gourmet Pet Treats and other pet products, but to make new friends and visit with old ones like Volunteer Donna Roy of the Monroe County Animal Shelter in Sweetwater, Tennessee (MAP BELOW).

Spoiled Pet Cafe had the opportunity to participate in the Christmas edition of the Knoxville Market Square Farmers’ Market on Saturday. Even though the temperatures were low and very cold, vendors and consumers came together to make this a very successful event.
